Data Collected by Epoch

Epoch takes its users’ privacy very seriously. It never collects any of your private information. It only collects the system version and an error log and sends them to the developer when the app crashes; this information helps the developer fix issues and provide a better experience. Apart from that, all of your practice data is stored on your device.

Epoch needs the microphone to provide its tuner functions. It will never record audio or upload audio in the background without your knowledge. The microphone is used only to analyze the sound of your instrument and measure its pitch.

Epoch uses a third-party analytics and crash reporting tool, Firebase. You need to agree to the privacy policy provided by Firebase; please refer to: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Collection of the Android Device Identifier (Android version)

On the Android platform, we collect your device’s Android ID (device identifier).

• Purpose: to bind and verify your membership or subscription status and to prevent abnormal use of an account across multiple devices.
• Method: read through the system API Settings.Secure.ANDROID_ID.
• Scope of use: sent together with sign-in and membership verification requests to our server (api.epochpro.app) and to our subscription service provider, Apphud.

We do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with unrelated third parties.
